SDVSHO Certification

Certification for Directors of Volunteer Services is open to members who are interested in reaching and maintaining greater educational competence and a higher level of professional standards.

To apply for SDVSHO certification a member must:

1. Be a member for a minimum of 2 years preceding application.
2. Have attended at least one SDVSHO conference.
3. Three years experience as a DVS in a healthcare facility.
4. Have gotten a passing grade on exam demonstrating aptitude and knowledge in volunteer services field.
5. Submission of the completed documentation by the due date.
6. Payment of $50 for exam.
